Video Poker Hands:

  • Royal Flush - This hand consists of an Ace, a King, a Queen, a Jack and a 10 of the same suit. It's the highest hand in poker.

  • Straight flush - This hand has five cards, in sequential order, that are all of the same suit. Aces can sometimes be counted as the lowest card in that order. For example… Ace, 2, 3, 4, and a 5 is a group of five ordered cards.

  • Four of a Kind - For four of a kind, you need four cards of the same value and one odd card. For example… 7, K, K, K, K.

  • Full House - This hand is made up of two cards of one rank and three of another. For example… Q, Q, Q, 5, 5 or 6, 6, 6, K, K.

  • Flush - All five cards in this hand have to be of the same suit. For example, a 4 of Diamonds, a 5 of Diamonds, 7 of Diamonds, Queen of Diamonds and Ace of Diamonds make a flush.

  • Straight - For a straight, you need five cards that are in sequential order, but they don't have to belong to the same suit. For example… an Ace of Spades, 2 of Hearts, 3 of Diamonds, 4 of Clubs and 5 of Spades.

  • Three of a Kind - To get a three of a kind, you need to have three cards of the same face value and two odd cards, such as 6, 6, 6, J and 2.

  • Two Pair - For two pair, you need two cards of the same value or rank. You have two pair when your hand has two pair plus one odd card. For example… 6, 6, 2, 2, 3.

  • One Pair (Jacks or better) - In video poker, only pairs of jacks, queens, kings or aces win a pay off.
